Zypp, a fully electric scooter rental app, has announced that its e-scooters will now be delivered to customers’ homes in Gurugram. Zypp e-scooters will be delivered to customer premises in Gurgaon beginning today. With the growing pandemic of a novel coronavirus, Zypp is taking extra precautions to ensure that all-electric scooters are thoroughly sanitized before being delivered to customers’ doorsteps.

Zypp e-scooters are equipped with IoT locks and can thus be rented remotely via the app. When the journey is finished, users can simply park their e-scooters in secure Zypp parking areas. Zypp’s latest offer allows new and existing users to have Zypp at their doorstep, covering nearby areas while maintaining proper social distance in their commutes. While working from home is becoming more common, many users have adopted a new lifestyle in which they do not have access to transportation at all times for nearby grocery shopping and food cravings.

Zippy’s free home delivery has provided users with an ideal solution. Zypp offers weekly/monthly subscription plans beginning at Rs.650/week for Zypp Uno and Rs.950/week for Zypp Thunder. Zypp Uno is a solo-ride e-scooter that can travel 55 kilometers on a single charge, whereas Zypp Thunder is a double-ride proper e-scooter that can travel 70 kilometers on a single charge.

The company plans to expand its EV+Driver fleet to 1500+ vehicles and make more than 20,000 deliveries per day in Delhi. Zypp currently serves 50 Zepto hubs in the Delhi NCR, and the company claims that it will grow its partnership by tenfold in the next year by doubling its fleet and areas of service nationally. Zypp Electric currently provides fully electric two-wheelers to e-commerce companies that deliver food and other goods. The company currently operates a fleet of over 5,000 electric scooters and plans to deploy over 1.5 lakh electric scooters by next year.

Zypp Electric will develop a delivery bot for Zypp deliveries for distribution within large campuses as part of this collaboration. Any packages left at the gate/entry will be picked up by the delivery bot and delivered to the door. Zypp delivery bots will be able to navigate autonomously thanks to Flo Mobility. It will track Zypp Electric vehicles that are loaded with cargo and waiting for delivery personnel at the warehouse gate/entry. This collaboration will concentrate on delivery in the Delhi-NCR area.

I believe that now is not the time to ride autos or cabs and that having a scooter by your side for a week or a month is the most secure mode of transportation. We are optimistic.”
