What is the duration of the lease?

The lease tenure is 36 months. You will receive fixed monthly lease rental throughout this period.

Is the monthly lease rental pre-tax or post-tax?

The amount is pre-tax. Any applicable TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) will be deducted as per government norms.

Which cities will my scooters be deployed in?

Zypp primarily operates in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, where the majority of our fleet is active. Scooter deployment is based on operational demand and active delivery zones.
We are also expanding rapidly into other cities including Pune, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and more, to widen our service footprint and tap into new delivery markets.

Do you assist with financing options?

Financing depends on the investor’s credit assessment. And hence, has to be acquired by the investor themselves. Zypp does not offer direct financing assistance.

What is the applicable GST on the scooter purchase?

GST is included in the ₹45,000 price, which also covers insurance and RTO. No additional GST payment is required.

Do I need to issue an invoice for getting the monthly rental?

Yes, You will need to issue an invoice at least before 7 days of the due date specified in agreement.

How can I invest (Individual/Retail/Company)?

You can invest as an individual, partnership firm, or registered company.

What is the minimum number of scooters I can invest in?

Minimum investment is 10 scooters of Rs.45,000 each (₹4.5 lakh). You can scale in multiples of 10.

Who handles repairs, maintenance, and insurance?

Zypp manages everything including:

Rider allocation
Insurance claims
Service, maintenance, and repairs
GPS-enabled tracking (Zypp Pilot App)

Are the contracts signed digitally or physically?

Contracts can be signed either way and are equally valid.

Who are the legal parties to the agreement?

Bycyshare Technologies Private Limited (Zypp’s legal entity) and Investor.

Who handles RTO registration, insurance, and fitness certificates?

Handled by Zypp and included in ₹45,000. Fitness certificate not applicable.

In whose name will the scooters be registered?

The Scooters will be registered on investors name.

Will I receive scooter documents (RC, insurance copy)?

Yes, while the original documents will be retained by us for operational purposes, scanned copies of the RC and insurance certificates will be shared with you.

Is there an escrow or bank guarantee for protection?

Monthly rentals would be auto-credited to your account using technology process, hence no followup needed. We do not provide any escrow mechanism or bank guarantee. However, you can track transactions and vehicles on our tech platform.

What happens in case of accident, damage, theft, or disruption?

Investors will not bear any liability. All risks are managed by Zypp.

Is TDS deducted? How much do I receive post-tax?

TDS will be deducted on monthly payouts as per Income Tax Act. Currently the rate is 2%.

What is the total return per scooter?

The total return over 36 months is up to ~59%.

What are the terms for early closure or prepayment?

Generally not allowed, except in rare cases. Lease rentals are paid till termination. Scooters returned to you.

Are scooters delivered all at once or in phases?

Scooters are bought upfront from Zypp partnered OEM. Delivery may be phased.

What if Zypp becomes insolvent?

Zypp is an 8 year old venture and is the largest & most credible EV-as-a-Service platform and has raised Rs.400 crore from marquee investors, also operationally profitable business. In case, anything goes south, you retain ownership of scooters. Vehicles are fully insured and also have a 3 year warranty from OEM.
